Six years ago, the basement of a church fundraiser brought together singer/songwriter Jeanie Campbell and guitarist/singer/songwriter Charles Reid. Turns out they clicked musically, too, forming Jeanie & Charles , and within a month the duo played their first gig. Jeanie & Charles mix blues, country, jazz, folk, pop and rock into a tasty eclectic dish.
They will be joined at the Courthouse Theatre by Mike Johnston and Ed Young. Mike is a bass player and sometimes guitarist with the Kinkora, PEI – based trio Not all There. Ed, a drummer/percussionist from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario was for ten years the beat behind the Island’s long-running, popular rock ‘n roll band Phase II and Friends (in which Jeanie was a member).
